Lol why they have to be like that!!! Much appreciated! What about a possum wrasse? They (possum) are like the redneck of the animal kingdom, so if I can add a little bit of that into my tank it would be cool!

My pink streak is in my 120 with 14 other fish. He doesn’t care. Shoots around the edge of the rocks minding his own business.

I have an IM 150EXT lagoon. Dimensions are 47"L by 35"D by 20"H. I presently have 2 small clowns in there. The tank has been set up for 2 months, fish were added 2 weeks ago. I check my parameters every other day, so far so good.
I am hoping to add 4 or 5 wrasses. Final additions would be one of the dwarf angels and also a tang. I am also planning on some soft and LPS corals.

So, here is what my wife and I like. Redhead Solon Fairy (C. Solorensis); Lubbocks Fairy (C. Lubbocki); Debelius (C. Adornatus); Blue Throat (C. Cyanogularis); and a Carpenters Flasher (P. Carpenteri).

If not compatible, please offer alternatives. I of course have a good sand bed and a large series of caves tunnels.

There are only 2 that will likely get along (however there are 2 combinations);
Cirrhilabrus adornatus and Paraheilinus carpenteri
Cirrhilabrus lubbocki and Paracheilinus carpenteri

There are many wrasse combinations that will work, it’s best you come up with a list of species from each of these genera and we can sort through them;
Anampses
Halichoeres
Macropharyngodon
Cirrhilabrus
Paracheilinus

Here’s a starting list of wrasses I personally like and yes most of them should get along;

I would avoid Solon and Blue throat. Theya re too big and aggressive for that size tank. I had both in my 320 and there were no stop battling for weeks until I remove the blue throat. They just stop and eat when I add food, but one would chase the other once the food is all gone. My tank is too large and too many rocks and crevices so they could not corner each other. They were even in size, and neither would give up. Finally, I remove the Blue-throat and brought him back to the LFS.
BTW, the the Solon has a relatively new name. C. aquamarinus. This is the new name for the wrasse most of us know as the Redhead Solon Fairy Wrasse.

In fact, any of the flasher wrasse that hit your fancy would be fine other than the Red Sea Eightline Flasher Paracheilinus octotaenia.

Macropharyngodon negrosensis
Macropharyngodon meleagris (not on the list) I don't know why he leaves this species out. Very beautiful and common wrasse

Of the wrasse I had personal experiences within that list I would not put in your tank, most due to tank size and the aggressive nature of the wrasse are:
Cirrhilabrus laboutei. Beautiful but aggressive and large wrasse. I only keep 2 in my years of keeping fishes.
Paracheilinus octotaenia. Very beautiful wrasse but rather larger and take a lot of space swimming when they are in courtship. I keep a pair. Very beautiful wrasse especially when displaying.

I tend to leave meleagris out because over here we don’t see them all that often. It’s also a wrasse I only really like as a female.. Your pair are gorgeous though and when I see them I really do question if I dislike the males.

Thank you gentlemen for the input. I see I am going to be spending some time here researching other genera of wrasses over the next couple of days. We are open to about any of them, each individual one interesting color in the aquarium. I will do some research and see what we come up with.

I love Hawaiian wrasse, and it's unfortunate they aren't available these days.

The Hawaiian endemic wrasses just get nicer each time you see a new one.
Coris venusta is my wish list but I doubt it’ll be moving off of that for a while…

Unfortunately…
My first 2 wrasses on my dream list are the Venusta and Chrysocephalus. Then number 3 is the Atavai and the next 3-4 are also Pencils I’ll likely never find.

I have a tie for number 1 best looking Macropharyngodon;
M. cyanoguttatus and M. negrosensis, M. geoffroyi is nice but it isn’t all the way up there.

Had to go look that one up. Had never heard of M. cyanoguttatus before. Not one I have seen in any LFS around here anyways.

Personally I think the cyanoguttatus is a direct upgrade on the negrosensis.
