Tanks looking great!

I think I remember my friend saying he did something like what your sister did with WOW. I never understood people who would pay for that. Its half the fun of the game building up characters or bases/settlements. Mods are another thing that can bring a little fun or change to a game, but most are OP and take all the struggle out of it. I thought it would be fun to run around in BG3 as a Sith lord dressed in black armor wielding a lightsaber. Got halfway through the second act and have not touched it since way too op. I really thought the mod was just clothes/armor and a cool graphic for your sword to make it glow but no when you equip the lightsaber you become a Sith lord with all the powers basically a Darth Vader/Palpatine, Starkiller maybe (for all my Star Wars nerds).
I love MODs. When I was playing Skyrim I think I spent as much time modding as I did playing lol. I had a crew of beautiful scantily dressed women that traveled with me as my followers. They were great fighters too so I would send them in first then I would clean up after. My real world Gal would actually get jealous when I played lol. Cohabitating without getting married has it's advantages along with not needing to get permission to fill the house full of tanks 🤣 .
I played all the fallout games before the series aired so while i enjoy the show the story plot isn't anything like the game. I talked my Gal into watching the series and we started season one last night. She seems to like it so that's cool because i can at least stay awake. When she picks something out it's usually boring or stupid and I just fall asleep and she gets mad. I recently started playing Outer Worlds which is a lot like the early fallout game.

Any chance your planning on going to the LEAR swap at the end of Feb?
Hey Becky I would say yes but I've already said that to you two years in a row and I never showed 🤭 so probably not. I really don't have anything I'm looking to add to the tanks right now. I have some open areas down low that I would like to fill in on the 330 but can't come up with a plan. Torches would be awesome but I've totally failed in the past keeping any euphylia so I've given up on them.

I'm watching a seam slowly being destroyed by algae on the reefer 300 where my acros are so I'm kinda sorta starting to make plans to replace that tank as my next project.

Gotta love RS high quality silicone. Maybe I should add a brace to the stand 🤣

I usually enjoy setting up a new tank but am not looking forward to disturbing this one.

I used the "wow" reaction for two reasons; 1.) Scantily clad women kicking tail! I might have to get into gaming. 2.) That seam. Not to be a Henny Penny but that seam could let loose at any time. I'd be looking for a replacment right now.

Ya I'm starting to shop. Its not quite as bad as it looks. That seam shown is the seam guard so it's not all the way through to the actual bonding seam yet but its just a matter of time.
I'm leaning towards a Mariner MP100. I like the idea of 5/8" glass and a bottom brace and the addition of an aluminum framed stand is a plus. The tank is in a corner so I think a peninsula would work well and give me more front to back room as well as more total length since its a 48" tank va the current 36"
I'm prepared for disaster with salt water always made up, spare tanks as well as a 40g and 100g stock tanks. Bonus i have three 2" holes in the floor next to the tank from previous tank plumbing so the water will drain through those very close to the sump crock in an unfinished basement 🙃

@twentyleagues and @Bruttall - No idea what all the gaming talk is about but completely understood the specs on the machine you have, @Bruttall . I started building machines in the late 90's and have built more than I care to count for others. Some for myself too. Have you ever benchmarked your present machine?
No I have not. the last time I did a benchmark was with a Core2duo intel cpu, with I think a 1060 vid card, it out preformed the Alienware area 51 machine that year by nearly 1k hashmarks., but that was after Dell bought AW.

Core2Duo... that was quite a few moons ago. It's strange too because judging by your picture I'd not place you much older than 84. HA!

Ya I looked yesterday and see a bottom seam on the same end starting to go as well.

I suppose a brace on stand will correct this right? I mean RS didn't lie to us when they stated that was the fix for the failures? 🤣
I've been thinking about this the last couple of days and I'm not sure I want to spend $4-$5k to replace this tank. I'm considering rearranging the 330.7 and using the left right end of the tank as an area for the coral in the reefer 300. I could reuse the lights and have more than enough powerheads for flow. Problem is I'm not sure how the SPS would do in the higher nutrients. Alk runs the same on both tanks and that's easy to maintain. Problem is N and P levels. SPS are currently doing very well with N 3-8 and PO4 0.02- 0.04 The 330 runs N 15-25 and P 0.3 -0.5 I know i could take measures to reduce the levels in the 330 but then It would be an ongoing chore to maintain them and I'm enjoying just watching the tank and not having to do anything but clean the skimmer and ATS once in a while add a little 2 part. I would switch to AFR and use a doser but I don't want to have to start messing around with GFO and chasing nitrate levels. I don't have enough experience with acros to know how they will react.

Move all this. All the rocks are in sections that I would be able to be move with the coral attached.

In on the fun and expelling Red Sea out of your life! 😁

AMD Athlon XP 1800+ was what I used in my first custom build. Geez if I can remember what GPU I had, it was AGP back then but it was enough to play Unreal Tournament.

Anyone ever play redneck rampage? It was one of the first games I played on PC. My kids used to laugh when i would run uninvited strangers off our property. They said I sounded like the old hillbilly in that game that would yell at people and say "geet offa my land" 🤣

I have noticed my spa are doing much better in a low nutrient environment vs high. Much much better.

That's what im afraid of. My SPS tank isn't ROTM or anything but I'm pretty happy where it's at considering all corals were added as little frags and being my first attempt at sticks I think it has gone pretty well so I don't want to loose everything. Just replacing the tank would be the safest route. The cost is a factor but it would be money I'll probably never spend before I die anyway since we live very modestly and carry no debt. Hmm sounds like I'm trying to talk myself into something lol. Must be cabin fever. I have a pattern of doing some type of project, usually expensive every year between February and April.

I would not risk it. Bracing or not.

Can you pick up a stock tank and transfer everything to it? Either a Rubbermaid or something similar. I see them, all the time, listed on FB Marketplace. Although, I do not know what the listings are like where you live.
