So I bought this Neon Green Trachy Brain yesterday, it came in not attached to a plug or anything. I have it sitting on the sand but the flow is kind of blowing around slightly. Should it be OK a plug? Or would it be OK to mount to a plug? The plug would probably keep it more still. Thanks

its best to leave it on the sandbed without a plug. try to find a low flow area, or move some small rocks around to disrupt the flow if possible. nice coral, good luck!

The more light the better. But still keep it on the sand. I have put them on nice rocks to get more light and they find a way to puff up and fall off.

I moved it here tucked up on this piece of pukani. Is it OK for the underside of the corals flesh to touch the rock like this? He's been here since yesterday and I think he looks ok. This is my first trachy some I'm not sure

looks good. keep an eye on the area where it touches the rock, and if it seems to be drawn in, move away. if not, it's happy! trachy's are awesome! Personally, i'd advise against feeding it for a few weeks until it's acclimated and showing signs of wanting to feed. Watch for it at night, it'll unfold it's tentacles. Feeding too soon can actually stress coral out.

I ended up moving him off of the rock a few days ago. I think he likes his new spot MUCH better. He has even been putting his feeding tentacles out the last 2 days. I actually fed him last night, and he swelled to like 3 times his size. Was pretty impressive
