Normally, I wouldn't be concerned, but the middle part of the original frag has started to die off. You can just barely see some of the bare skeleton in the picture, a top down would tell a much more revealing story.

Im not totally convinced the Seneye is accurate reading LED's or even the the entire spectrum. The new ones were supposed to be out a year ago and its still pretty quiet. I am considering renting the meter or buying the usb sensor (black) and that that one doesn't do led's accurately. Now a guy like you with 3 or 4 tanks:eek: might get use out of the Gold LED sensor. BTW how is the drop off and eel? the PRIZE 250?

I just got home, microwaving a KFC chicken and waffle sandwich that didn't get eaten last night for breakfast then I'm crawling into the cabinet, grabbing the Kessil controller and backing those laser beams back to 75%(from 100% peak) and 6 hours to match with the T5. I'll leave them on a really low setting then quickly ramp up to my peak, so I actually get a good long viewing period, keep a good peak midday, and reduce overall light throughout the day.

The dropoff is doing very well, go check it out in my signature. Still do not have the Nanobox, but it should be here very soon. I have word that it is finished, he just hasn't had time to take SEVERAL shipments to the store/depot/whereeveryoutakepackagestobeshipped... last word is Monday for shipping. One man operation start to finish with a VERY high demand for his fixtures, plus a lot of customization goes into almost every one.

Prize Reefer 250 is cycling. 1.0ppm ammonia and 0.5ppm nitrite last check yesterday afternoon. I've had her dosing Microbacter7 according to the directions and I bumped it with a little NoPoX to make sure there was enough carbon for the bacteria. 24 hours after the water was a bit cloudy, but seems to have cleared now, so I'm thinking that shot of carbon boosted some bacterial growth. Hopefully soon we knock out this cycle and she can put her angelfish in there. She still needs a light and a skimmer, but those will come in time.

Oh, BTW... with the 250 now officially "running" I have 5 tanks. Well, 5 actually set up. SCA90, IM20, 36 bow(not doing well... at all, fish healthy plants not so much), 5 betta(fish and plants doing very well), and now the Reefer250. There are also in storage a 40 breeder, 35 Deep Blue cube(which is about to be replacing the 36 bow in a modified Walstad method with a sump), 20 long, 2x 10g and a 5.5g.

With all those Tanks you could get a Tax break as a Fish Breeder but after all that Saturday maintenance you will be more like Mr Limpet:p

Yeah and, after all, Mr. Limpet was incredible!

Was looking over the tank, checking on my corals when I noticed my ASD Rainbow Milli was gone.

Luckily, I was able to spot it and with some very minor rearranging of two branches I was able to retrieve it with my tweezers. Its glued back into its spot. And doesn't look like there is any damage.

Crabs, never trust a crab. They serve a propose, but I think in my tank it is to constantly pop frags off of the rocks.

Checked PAR again real quick... around 230 at the Milli and 100-200 around the other acros. 90-100 on the sand. I still think the Seneye is grossly underreporting light and has a lot of variation in reading while sitting still with all pumps off. It'll bounce by 50 or better sometimes.

I'm gonna call it a $200 gimmick.

I dont disagree however Kessils are notritously low par readers on all meters. I saw a video on the new X series and those numbers were lower than expected and measured with the newest apogee.

My Orpheks read on average 50 par lower on the seneye than what BrS reports using their apogee.

Right, with the Kessils being notoriously under reported combined with the Seneye also under reporting... who knows what the actual numbers are. Could be 20-30 maybe as much as 40% off...

Just to be on the safe side I backed to 50% intensity as all the new frags but the milli are showing some signs of losing color. Shortly after regluing it, polyps were back and as seems as tho nothing ever happened. The others possibly have light shock from moving to the rocks in the middle from the rack on the side of the tank. I'll see what happens for two weeks, then maybe start working back up some.

I hope they look good when you get them ;)
Everything I've gotten from Brian has been straight fire. Go check out his site. All wysiwyg corals and updated just about weekly with fresh frags. www.jamrockcorals.com

I've been meaning to share my new nori I've been using. It's a store brand, on the Asian food isle in Walmart. It's only $3 a pack, and has way more per pack than the fish brands. No additives all organic. I cut it into the easy to manage quarter sheets that the TLF brand somes in. I have noticed it falls apart a little quicker than the TLF brand, but that's only in the nano with one 1½" blenny and the angel eating it. In here, it doesn't last long enough to even get too soggy.
