double post
Oh, no I think you had some technical difficulties as the first post is now gone...

These were taken then other night minutes before lights off. The LPS all go into feed mode for the night as the lights are ramping down to put the tank to bed. Some people say a ramp is completely aesthetic and the fish and corals dont know the difference, but I disagree. I can watch my tank wake up and go to sleep with a ramping light schedule.

It took me a while to edit the posts, but I got it more or less right now.

People who say ramping is only aesthetic and fish and coral do not know the difference, are people with non-dimmable T5's or MH... :p:p:p

Those pics are awesome! I tried to post last night and it never did post. What are those in your last pic? I would like to try some with long eyelashes. :)
Nirvanas... they were short lash when I got them. Some of my zoas developed long lashes in my tank.

This is right after I brought them home in October.

It is remarkable how they will adapt. I have some zoas that I split into 2 different locations. Other than the basic color you would think they were different strains. One is very small and grows close to the rock with shorter lashes. The other location stretches way out and is 3 times larger with longer lashes. It has to be a light/flow thing.

Just took this before I left the house... they are getting plenty of flow and loving it. The ones I have in lower flow are closer to the rock and have smaller polyps.

I also finally snapped an updated pic of my red monti. It has taken off again this month. Horizontally this time too!

Well, we picked up a bunch of corals a friend was getting rid of. Wanted more room in their tank, I figured I'd go grab it. Some of it went into the girlfriend's Reefer.

Ummm... here its too much to list. Some of the stuff on the rack I've had, the middle is new.

And the big stuff went into the girlfriend's Reefer 250. Kinda jealous she gets to start with colonies.

Oh, got a pic of this behemoth when I was adding the extra sand... which my clowns immediately removed from their spawning cave... yep, that's my Trachyphyllia radiata, and yes it's like 8" across now.

Moved the 1K over to my girlfriend's Reefer. Holy detritus snow globe. It's been running as a FOWLR for about 2 months with the only flow coming from the return pump. Water change over there this weekend.

The 3K is much more powerful than the 1K. So much so that I decided not to run it above 50% to keep from destroying my frogspawn. I have it set up on 4 different modes throughout the day. 1100-1400 is pulse at 30%. 1400-2000 is alternating gyre mode at 50% power, 10 seconds in reverse and 20 seconds in foward with 4 seconds of ramp between foward and reverse. 2000-2300 is random pulse up to 50%. 2300-1100 is steady flow at 10%.
