We briefly interrupt this opinion gathering to bring you some bum wine. Wild Irish Rose, adjusted and happy.

We tested Ca and Alk just now...

Ca 474 ppm, a little high but not crazy. It's the salt RODI tho. We'll just let it fall naturally.

Alk 6.0 dKH, um that's low. Don't have any dosing chemicals on hand. Got red sea powder and RODI tho. I just hate mixing it, pain in the hind quarters and it NEVER mixes all the way. It always leaves a residue on the bottom, AND its 1/3 the strength of the pre mixed stuff. I'd just rather buy pre mixed liquid elements and dose that.

This powder is getting too confusing. Everything is in metric... so I dont understand it at all. The dosing instructions are telling me to dose grams and not mililiters.

Someone reccomend a dosing product for me that is

1, In liquid form. No mixing powder
2, Idiot proof. No metric grams per liter to raise alk meq/l

The liquids are crazy expensive compared to the powders.

I would recommend the BRS 2 part starter kit. You mix up the jugs every few months for a smaller system and you can use the calculator on their site to figure out how much to add. Very easy.

Even easier, but slightly more expensive, is the pre measured starter kit. Very user friendly.

Nope, it is always clear for me in the mixing bottles. The magnesium part takes longer to completely dissolve, but I haven't even used that. My mag just stays high.

Thanks Brew... I may just have to order some of that. The calculator makes things easy too. Check this out, see if it makes a lick of sence to you.
