Whats happening ...

Some of you guys have pm'ed/email me as I was not on the board regularly ( here, Manhattan,reefcentral ) ...well just sharing whats happening to me and reefing ..I tried to breakdown for awhile now but never had the guts to pull it. But in the last week or so I made up my mind. My kids are growing and needed more attention than my tanks, so I made a decision to sell my dream tank and shut down my 90g SPS forest ...

Today is one of the sadest day I have as a reefer... my 240g Starphire that I bought 2 yrs ago ( supposed to be my dream tank once I finished the basement). I bought all I need for that tank to run but just didn't have enough time to finish the basement and see it running. Some of you saw it in person and some knows about it as I was happy 2yrs ago when I bought it. Its all good :D it went to a good home Rkaiser in NJreefer. Lastnight was up till 3 am tearing my 90g down .. I try to push my limits to spread out all the corals I want to keep . Some SPS mini colonies I sold , some I fragged to fit on my 40g.Reason of shutting down the tank is due to TIME . Some of you followed my 90g thread , you all saw how frags turn into a beautiful colonies.. Well anyway right now I still have some Acans,Micros , Rics/yuma and some Chalices in the 90g and hopefully if I have time will re re-aquascape my 180g to fit the rest ..

Hopefully I can manage to catch up with my 180 and 40g if not another tank will go .. Like I told a good friend.. "SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP SOMETHING TO GAIN SOMETHING"

Also here is the 40g tank .. I know its packed but most on the eggcrates are going to be gone in the next week or so..

Sorry man, I had to do the same thing back in September when my wife and I moved, but it was mainly for money. Luckily I got a few thousand out of selling everything and now I'm looking to start back up a smaller tank. Good luck with everything man! :)

Sorry to hear bro. I know how it is Ive cut back to 1 tank over the last 2 yrs. My kid plays sports and keeps me on the go and needed less work at home. I sure it will work out where you can get your dream tank in the future when the kids it a bit older and life slows down some.

Sorry to here that sad news. I wish I had some cash to take some chalices and Yumas of your hands but I am in the oposite situation. Have not worked since April 1st so tons of time just no funds.

Its tough as I have passion for this hobby. When I quit my job it was an easy decision for me but with this passion for the hobby its a little tougher than I thought... thanks

Thanks Stacie.. I ahve been collectiong/ buying for almost 3 yrs now and got addicted on colorful stuff LE or not LE... to the point that I keep adding tanks.. I guess its time now to take a little break. having to clean 3 tanks is a pain and seeing my 240g growing rust and webb is heartbreakin..

I agree man. My kids are 5yrs ,22months and10 months.. The 2 smaller ones really required to be monitor. I just dont have time anymore to sit and watch my tank ... hopefully someday I can have another " Dream tank"..

Thanks .. My wife knows I love reefing so she kinda just asked me to slow down and not get out of the hobby. Thanks man for the kudos..

NO I am not selling those :).. only 30% on that tank will be sold like replicas of SPS that I have on my 180g already.. I jsut dont have the guts to sell it.. Ia m also unemployed since April :D

NO not going to MR swap .. I even didn't sell any corals on MACNA :D

I got pm's from people who Pm'ed me in RC asking me if I was going .. I don't go to much site anymore and sad to say when I sign on in MR I have about 45 Pm's since September lol...
