Little docile snakes are my favorite. It’s like a little momentary pet.
I agree......I don't think that species is even capable of showing aggression lol.

If any of you guys are really interested in wildlife and sharing it with others be sure to make an account on iNaturalist if you don't already have one. It's a citizen-science program that allows everyday people like us to find and document wildlife for use by scientists in population tracking research. You'll learn some cool stuff along the way (For example I found a beetle in Florida and it turned out to be the first time someone had ever recorded it on the site which has over 10 million observations).

That’s awesome. I’ll look into it. I do wildlife studies for mitigation permitting so I document a ton of species.

Yeah let me know if you do get one. My username is phelsumas4life and if you ever upload any sort of cnidarian, fish, echinoderm, algae, etc I'll probably be the one IDing it. Same PFP on there as mine here as well

Found a red tailed hawks nest on my last biological study. I collected some nice feathers around the base of the tree.

I also found this skulll. I think it’s a opossum or raccoon.

Possession of raptor feathers, and those from many other native bird species, in the USA is illegal. Even if you simply picked up discarded feathers from the ground.

Interesting. I will look into that. My co-workers and I treat feathers and bones like finding buried treasure. Its weird none of the ultra environmental, preservationists, and native heritage specialists co-workers have ever said anything.

Back yard, 10-12 ft gator.

Back yard, adult osprey. Hard to see but it’s up in the tree. About 1/3 of the way in from the right side, 3/4 of the way up.
Best pic so far, but it’s there regularly. It’s huge.

Front yard, 1 of 13 turkeys that love our yard for some reason.

And whitetail deer every night passing thru as well.
