I also found this skulll. I think it’s a opossum or raccoon.

That seems a bit short-faced for racoon or 'possum to me ... maybe take a comparative look at a cat skull? Cool finds, every one!

It is kinda close to some suburban track housing. I agree it looks short. The skull is decent sized! must have been a big cat.

David just told me about this thread. As a bit of background; I spend a lot of time with photography (now that I am retired). I enjoy nature photography the most because it gets me outdoors, often times in the early morning when no other folks are stirring. I live in Northern Virginia but there is a small park about 15 minutes from my house that has woods and wetlands habitat. I am probably there at least once or twice a week, so I will post shots just from there to keep the thread going.

I have been following this Belted Kingfisher most of the summer at Huntley Meadows Park Va. It has become less and less skittish (Kingfishers are notoriously tough to approach). Can't tell you how many out of focus hunting dive shots I have deleted. This image was taken yesterday, but the ***bird would never face the camera. (Probably shouldn't show a fish getting eaten on this site, but it is a freshwater fish).
