Speaking of lunch, I got out of my car at the office and this was in the tree right in front of me. We actually have one of these that lives in a tree in our front yard as well...

What's some of the coolest wild animals you've spotted in your neighbourhood? Or have you heard of any interesting wildlife news around you? Share them here!

To start off, on my recent trek in my local nature reserve, I've spotted a Malayan Palm Civet, a family of Smooth-Coated Otters, an Oriental Pied Hornbill, and a flock of Coconut Lorikeets :)

Also, a Malayan Tapir had recently been sighted in the island, the first in many years!

I found this cool guy right outside my apartment a while back. Haven’t seen anything like him before here in Florida as it’s mostly just curly tails and brown anoles.

When I was living in Wyoming I had moose in my yard nearly everyday. Usually a cow and her calf but occasionally a bull or two. Either way made for some interesting moments. Also routinely had world class mule deer and some pronghorn in the yard. Just up the road into the BLM land there were badgers, coyotes, heard the wolves once or twice but never saw them, the elk and bears were a couple ridgelines back farther outside of town. The folks in town said we would get a bear in town once a year or so but it didn't happen the year I was there. Rumors of mountain lions but never saw one or any sign. The only thing I didn't have within "arms length" were bison. IT was a blast! :)

Forgot the birds; ton of kestrels, osprey, and a few golden eagles. Plus some really cool little tweeties. Magpies can be annoying but they are fun to watch too!

I’m in the U.K. so nothing exotic. I walk the dog in the early hours of the morning so usually see foxes, badgers, hedgehogs and owls. Occasionally deer like the other day, came round a corner and 2 deer were stood looking at me a couple of meters away. They didn’t move the entire time it took to walk past them and then they resumed eating grass. During the day there’s always at least one bird of prey overhead or even sat on the fence in our garden. Other than that there’s usually a beef herd in the field at the end of our short road.
