Hey, what's up guys. This tank has been set up for about 7 months now, and I just wanted to start this thread to kinda hold me accountable and actually document some progress. I have about 5 years of reefing experience, with the last 2 years of what I like to call "accelerated reefing" lol more on tht some other time.

Tank: Custom 155g Planet Aquarium 48x30x24 , Standard Glass, Black Sil. w/ edge protectors, External Over Flow, Black Background
Stand: Custom-built + painted by my Best friend's extremely handy Dad
Sump: Custom Acrylic Sump 40x24 (chunky boi) (will add the name of the company tht made this later)
So I guess my system would be about 180g+ ? Haven't really taken the time to calculate that

Controllers: Hydros X4 (Team Hydros !!!)
Minnow for dosing 2 part (Bolus Method)
Apex el solely for running Trident (from my previous tank, going to be replaced)

Lighting: 2 Radion XR30 G6 Blues (Upgraded w/ High intensity Diffusers)
1 XR15 G5 Blue (Upgraded w/ High intensity Diffuser)
2 AI Grow Blades as supplemental Lighting (also to help deliver more of a full spectrum)

Rock: Mix of all variations of Real Reef Rocks

Substrate: 2 bags Reborn + 4 bags Crushed Reborn (Crushed version was Veryyy hard to source)

Equipment: Varios 8 (overkill, I know, but a lot of my equipment was chosen with upgradability in mind)
ReefOctopus Regal 200s
LifeGaurd 55W UV (scweet)
2 MP40s
1Nero 5
2 AI Orbit 2 (need to upgrade, was from my previous 45g tank)
CO2 scrubber ( to get that high stable pH!!)

Here's a picture of when I first set it up in January 2025. Obviously didn't have the lighting figured out at this point lol

And a picture from May 2025, I have to take more recent pictures definitly more filled in w frags, got a littlebit of a mixed reef going here which makes flow and lighting a little bit more challenging. My next post on this thread will have some eyecandy, as well as what the tank looks like overall and my methodology / thought process.
