I know corals release much more toxins and things but if I remove it right away and do a water change won’t it be fine?
It can happen in a matter of hrs. A swing in your tanks chemistry could cause 1 soft coral to die then the toxis released can cause your other corals to start to go, soft corals can release way worse stuff then hard corals. Tanks getting nuked doesn't happen over a long period it can be overnight. And the first thing everyone is going to ask you for when you come calling help is exactly what all your water parameters are.

In winters where Val lives the leaves melt away and come back when it becomes brighter and better.
I was using a cheap, crappy light (since upgraded to a better one) and the tank was recently made into a planted one, it previously wasn’t.
They still keep the rosettes and some of the leaves

I have a test kit I just can’t test calcium alk and magnesium but I am going to have so much macros that they would eat all the ammonia nitrite and nitrate

And I’m doing constant weekly 25% wc. I think honestly with the large mount of macroalgae and only a few softies it wouldn’t hurt if. I didn’t constantly test calc alk and mag

And same with buying anything that we may need or be beneficial. We dont need to buy all at once, just buy one test per week or per month if on a budget.
Unless you have to pay p and p then it works out cheaper buying all at once and only paying p and p once ( if from same vendor etc,or if not got amazon prime etc) how i look at things anyway,as £3-£5 p and p may not be alot of money but way i work is if can save few pounds here and there then thats what i will do.as dont see point paying more for something if i dont have to.

Only dose if you have to. Upon dosing, you need a test kit to know the effects. You can’t eyeball using the tank volume as gallonage is changed based on what is in the tank.

Oh so I should just do water changes and not dose?
If you don’t want to test then you don’t dose.

you can not just dose one component of two part because it will drop the other. If you dose just alk you will cause your calcium to decrease. This is why it is a balanced two part.

you can seriously kill all your coral by blindly dosing and it’s not even hard.

Oh ok thanks for letting me know. Would fish waste and water changes be able to keep perms stable

Nano tanks can be run in just water changes. With soft corals it’s easier as they won’t have the same alk/ca demands as densely LPS or SPS.

If you are not going to test then I definitely recommend only relying on water changes.

Why are you so against testing @ noahlikesfish ? All you're doing is setting yourself up to a crash and seeking help later. Without knowing the parameters of the water you'll get very little help.
