In the video it looked like it was opening and closing a mouth like some kind of tiny eel. Is that what you saw?

Okay. As no one else seems willing to venture an ID on this thing, I'll give it a shot. It appears to be a very small Kracken or some relative from the genus Seamonsterum. As they have a reputation for getting very large, and destroying entire civilizations, I would probably remove it. Sorry. Couldn't resist. ;) I have absolutely no idea. I'm sure someone will provide a reasonable explanation soon. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to grab it if you can. When in doubt, get it out.

Sorry @Andrew_3896, but I gotta bump this thread. I've watched the video over and over, and done what research I can in my limited capacity and can't find anything like it. Have you seen it again? Any chance you can get another video?

Video doesn’t play for me but I for one would be getting it out of my tank until an ID can be made.. if you take a small container and add a couple inches of water into the bottom and then place something like a small egg crate rack into container to set the rock on so it’s at the top of water level whatever is in the rock will most likely come out and make its way into the water underneath.

not much of a artist but maybe this will convey my method ;)

Thanks for the help. I will try and get another video if I can get it to come out again. It is in a rock that supports my whole structure so I would rather not take it out. I guess if I had to I can.

I saw this qoute from a Highly Respect Expert earlier in the post...."It appears to be a very small Kracken or some relative from the genus Seamonsterum. As they have a reputation for getting very large, and destroying entire civilizations, I would probably remove it....... I am thinking Speargun.... Might be over kill but never bring a pair of tweezers to take down a Seamonsterum...
