Forum - Instant Notification

Is there a way to receive instant notifications when new threads are added to a forum? I see you can get them daily, but why not instantly?

Yes, click on Thread Tools and choose Subscribe to this Thread:

Change notification type to "Instant notification by email"

Sorry, I was looking to subscribe to a specific forum and be notified when new topics are posted. There are a few sponsor threads where I want to know as soon as new stuff is posted.

In that case, the best way is via RSS. Do you have an RSS reader? Google Reader is a good one. You can subscribe to specific forums via RSS on your RSS reader:

You can also subscribe to multiple forums via RSS. R2R is running vBSEO which makes it hard to know the forum ids but if you hover your mouse on the rss icons, you will see the forum ids at the lower left of your browser. You can then use the following to subscribe to multiple forums via one RSS feed (example with 3 included forums):

https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=124,342,370
