Hair Algae -- Getting the bleach!

Is taking out all your LR and just bleaching it the best way to rid HA?
I know this type of discussion goes on quite abit, but I really just want to start all over. Whenever I bring rock to a new tank, even scrubbed down really well, and having no fish to feed or anything, it still grows out of control!
I just want to bleach my rock and start all over..... It has been stunting the growth of my coral so bad, if only I could get my chalices to grow like it does :(

Have you tried a Sea Hare? I picked one up when I was battling HA and that slimy little sucker wiped it out!

Are you sure its hair algae and not bryopsis? Depending in which one it is they each have their own way of getting rid of it.

100% sure it's hair algae.
I know bryopsis, people treat Kent Tech-M for it if I'm not mistaken?

here is what i did to win when i had byropsis and hair algae first sea hares then cut light cycle down to 4-5 hours then used better water then used phosban reactor and finally a yellow tang that i made sure when i went to the lfs it was picking at rocks and now i have 0 algae

raise your mag up to 1550 in like a 5 day period, turn off lights and wahla algea is history

bleach away, just let it dry out and wash/soak it in fresh water before you put it back in...i used to do this to all of my rock
