Help picking a new coral

I’m looking for an LPS or soft coral that has a lot of movement and can take quite a bit of flow. The spot I want to put it in gets pretty much direct flow from my output and I want something that will actually open up and sway in the flow. I tried to place a torch there but it refused to open up in that kind of flow. I know that an SPS would work better but I don’t like the looks of them; not enough movement. Any suggestions?

Note: my take is pretty small (13.5 gallons) and the spot I want to put it is on the rock work.

I would guess most fleshy corals may not like direct flow :confused: and my first choice would have been a torch. Anyone have much experience with goniopora against heavy flow? Mine seems to do fine but I moved it away from direct flow so it can extend more.

I thought so too, but I see pictures/videos of people’s tanks that have all kinds of corals in way heavier flow than I have but I don’t know how they do it. It seems like it always some kind of euphyllia but mine doesn’t like it at all, nor my Duncan or Xenia. They all hate it and it’s really not that much flow compared to some tanks I’ve seen.

I would recommend moderate flow at most for leathers. I had to move my two leathers further away because of too high flow.

If you could do moderate flow get a Kenya tree. The thing is they get big... but the movement is beautiful
