So about 5 months ago i set up a 70 gallon, 3ft by 2ft by 2ft tank, and transferred over all my old fish, clowns, midas blenny, gramma, and a bangai and a month after i added a naoko wrasse, i want a tang and know these are my only real longer term options ( although totally prepared to have to rehome it if it gets too big) all my fish are pretty aggressive and i dont know how these tangs are, how aggressive are yours if you have them, as i read online they can get real bad when they set up a territory. I also added a pic of the tank so you can see the rock work, i am planning on getting some more rock btw for the front right

My tomini is super chill, hangs our with the maroon clowns in my frag tank. My damsel doesn't like him, but it doesn't matter because the damsel is much smaller.

I have a Tomini tang that was my last fish in my 75 gallon. He was calm, wonderful, and passive. When I upgraded to my 170 and transferred him over he was fine when I put him in with the fish he was with in the 75, but he is territorial towards new fish that I’ve added, including a coral beauty and a one spot fox face. The aggression lasted for a couple of weeks and I thought I would need to rehome him. But now he totally ignores the newcomers and he is back to his calm ways. I still need to add a flame angel, multicolor angel, hippo tang and regal angel, so I’m a bit concerned about what might happen.

my concern though with your tank size and dimensions is that your rockwork may not be ideal. You should try to create some more fully concealed alcoves for your residents to make use of. This will reduce aggression (or the potential thereof)

I think that is probably a good idea, it would also give more space for coral, who doesn’t want that!
