Im having algae issues with cyano and its only on the sandbed none on the rocks
Specs, i use ro di water, i run carbon and gfo, lighting 9 hrs a day, 2 clownfish

Have you recently changed our your bulbs or are they old?

Bulbs changed a month ago, tank is 3-4 months

I'd also suggest a large CUC if you don't already have them.. dwarf cirith snails really do the truck for me. I have about 75 in my 28g..

conch keeps mine pretty clean. Narissus are usless unless you have a ton of food left on your sandbed after feedings

I had a whole bunch of conches till they started eating my smaller snails.. be careful with certain kinds, as they are mostly scavengers and will eat other snails if there is not alot of left over food. I find mine in the gulf eating on decaying crabs/fish or just roaming around on/in the sand.

Increase your flow as well to keep the detritus suspended. This way, it can be removed by the skimmer and it makes it hard for the cyano to stick to the sand. You can also turn your lights off for 2-3 days and blow it off with a turkey baster to suspend it.

Thanks everyone! also what do u guys think should i get a calcium reactor? My calc is 500 i know its high and alk is a lil low but will it lower the calc or raise it?

check your flow in those areas. Check your nitrates as well. You could also be in the tail end of a cycle for only a 3-4 month old tank.

Theirs no nitrates, or nitrites but their is a lil phospate
