Do you have something holding the pipes were they go in/out of tank? Also, is that external pump noisy

Awesome, I am in the process of doing it the same way. I bought a sicce pump i was planning to set inside tank, didnt even think about using an external pump. Would much rather that than have a pump sitting in display.
I found some pics of the current setup and how I ran it.

No problem. I just snapped some pics of the rodi bungs.

I'll say this - this setup has some things to consider - like what if the pump goes out? The bulb will heat the water. The bungs or the pipes could leak and since most of it is below the water level... Well, siphon. So I have some protection for both. I have leak detectors to let me know if there's a leak and I have some monitoring on the pump. When I was snapping these I noticed some salt creep on some of the joints - when I service the bulb in 3mo I'll also re glue some of the joints.

For the bungs I do not recall what size I used but I purchased a tap the size of the bung screw. I then used plumbers tape and then glued them in. They aren't leaking lol. I basically suck the air out to get the system going. It works great and is all silent!

What size pipping is that? I am still working on plumbing mine in. I ordered 1" piping and fittings and now I am thinking it will be to big. I have the sicce 1.0 and the pentair 40w will be looking to get about 175-250 gph, uv is mounted on side of tank. Do you think this diameter pvc will work fine? Thanks!

I believe mine was 1/2". I would use whatever fits behind / side of your tank best and whatever makes connections to the uv and the pump easy.

Finally got everything up and running. Ended up using 3/4 piping, and mounted on side of stand. Currently using an Eflux current 6009 pump. Have to wait to check flow next water change. Next tank will plan on an external pump but this will have to do for now. Thanks for the help!
