Hypo and anemones?

We have a new tang in our QT tank which we need to treat for ich. We're wanting to treat with hyposalinity, however, we have a new liverock with two green bubbletip anemones on it that we took in from a friend. We haven't found space for it yet in the display.

My question: can we do hypo without harming the anemones? We've tried to detatch them but haven't been successful.

Can you possibly put them in different tanks? I've heard that nems can stand hypo, and most corals can too, but it does stress the fish out.

The purpose of the hypo is to treat the fish of ich. We've had success with it in the past and it's nice not to use chemicals. I'm pretty much not willing to do copper. I just wasn't sure if it would kill the anemones. LFS said it would destroy them.

Of course I know that the point is to treat for ich. I was saying that if you could split them in different tanks, keep the nem in normal water, and then do hypo in the tank with the fish. This way they both stay alive.

Id say no,definitive no,no,no,no lol, anem's are extremely sensitive to salinity changes, to subject one to hypo would be like putting kittens in a ziplok bag

Haha, no problem. You could just do water changes on the other tank to keep it clean if you didn't have filtration for the second tank.
