I guess i should introduce myself

I have been registered on here for a few months and the forum challenge contest really got me posting last week.

My name is Bob Cox and i am from pittsburgh

I have been keeping saltwater tanks for about 10 years. I have kept reef and FO tanks from 10 gals up to 390 gal. I have been a registered member on RC since 2003 and on the saltwaterfish.com forum since 2002

My current tank is a 125 reef that is getting over a battle from Dinos (thanks to Troylee for helping me win that battle) It is an aga tank. Running 3 175 watt 14k halides and 2 6ft vho actinic. 30 gal sump with an octo 200 skimmer. I like having a mixed reef with sps and zoas, but right now back to just zoas

Besides reef tanks, my other passion is christmas lights. We go to the extreme with anywhere from 150,000-265,000 lights on our house each year. I was actually on a tv show on TLC last year called Invasion of the Christmas lights (part 1). You can see pics and video on my website. www.steelcitychristmas.com

i hope to become a full time member here and leave the other forums behind( sorry tired of the drama and suspensions in the other rooms)

Welcome Bob, good to have you here. I'm sure you will find this to be a kinder/gentler site. I was pretty tempted to return to SWF in order to revive the old thread on how safe nuclear reactors are in light of the current situation, but somehow managed to resist the temptation to become in the old drama again. LOL

Thanks for the warm welcome. Wy Renegade, have you gone back to look at your first posts on that site. I learned everything in the beginning from there and man did i have some crazy questions. The one thing that kills me is i had posted pics of my 390 gal setup there and over the years the site kept the thread but got rid of the pics. It was the only pics i had from that tank.

i miss that tank. when i moved from one house to the other the silicon let loose at the bottom of the back wall and all the water poured out at once. and we werent home
