I do have some reef safe ich treatment, would it be worth dosing that as well as hyposalinity to provide some potential temporary relief for the fish, or should I just do hyposalinity on it's own?

Combining them with hyposalinity is not something that is really done, since the whole demand for reef safe meds is to do them along with corals and invertebrates - I would just do the hyposalinity, but as I had mentioned, the clock has been ticking here.

Luckily the fish seem to be in ok condition and are eating just fine, providing the next 48 hours go ok, time should be good

Slight problem, my refractometer only reads down to 0.015...

Any ideas?

Ok correction, the line where the blue meets the white is there, but the chart doesn't read below 1.015 but I can still kind of work out where 1.009 is

example, this is about 0.010 just from some water I mixed just to test this out, is it ok that is isn't 100% accurate?

That's an issue - I've never had a refractometer that didn't read all the way down to 1.000, so hitting 1.009 is not a problem with the ones I've used.

I wouldn't do that. Just buy another refractometer such as this on Amazon that goes down to 1.000. I would also purchase a calibration solution for it if you do not already have some, or make your own solution with the #RandyHolmes Farley method.

Don’t buy the products .

Run copper at full quarantine . Otherwise you will absolutely face this again . No doubt about it

That is a symptom seen in clownfish, but nobody knows the cause. I've posted about it multiple times. Here is one link:

All, Over the past two years or so, I've come across dozens of cases on the fish disease forum here of an issue with clownfish that we have not been able to identify. I've never seen it on any clownfish I've had myself, but the issue seems most common on designer clowns, which I don't work...
