This is my 150w DE MH bulb. I'm not sure if its blown or if the ballast is toast. Ballasts are only 2 years old. I'm leaning towards a blown bulb with the dark spot. Please advise.

It's not unusual for a MH lamp to develop spots within the arc tube, usually due to sputtering of the electrodes. If no damage is obvious, it's probably not the lamp.

I got the new bulbs and still not working. I'm getting replacement ballast in 2 weeks. Ducks, but I'll still have one other light (50% power)

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
