My bulkheads are 1"slip. I run 1" pvc inside the bulkhead and put a union on it so I can unhook it.

I put in dual gate valves on the water lines going back to the tank so I can equal them out . I have $50 in gate valves on the tank. lol. Now its time to fill with water. Check for leaks ect. once I get it dialed in ill add the controller from my 65 and move the stock over.

when you up grade like that do you let the new tank cycle or just try to use as much of your old water as you can and do you add new sand or use your old sand? i was wanting to up grade mine to a 125 from my 75 but im worryed about killing my live stock.
by the way your tank is very nice great job very clean looking love the pvc work you done

Thanks for the compliments. I have done it both ways, all new water and use everything old. This time I will be using new water as I am leaving my current tank running until I get this up and going. Current tank is bare bottom. Basically I will be filling it up and checking the plumbing. then adding salt. let it run for a couple days to heat up and make sure the parameters are good. Then Ill transfer over the livestock. and all the rock.

Looking good Mojo! I fixed that first pic.

I too just did an upgrade last weekend and all I did was siphon my old sand real good and then transfer everything like corals and fish into a Rubbermaid tub. Add rock and sand to the new tank which was half full of new mixed up SW and then put the old water and critters into the new tank. I only lost one Goby which got caught in a Maxi Mini nem in the Rubbermaid. All corals and other fish are doing great.

alright, made another trip to lowes. I ran out of zip tie mounting bases for the wiring. I also picked up some pipe insulation as I saw it there and thought why not. Maybe it will help make it more quiet.

I also picked up some more tubing to plumb in the tlf reactors. It is so nice just a turn of the valve and I have flow. No more pumps to plug in . I have flow for anything at the turn of the valve. Really glad I put in the three 1/2 in gate valves.

Also, Today I ordered a AVAST Kalk reactor. Also had to call Jeremy at premium and get another heater . my jager heater (200w) would not keep up so I will be adding a second one.
