My thank:
I am going to go over everything I have done in the recent history, I have provided a list of equipment I am using and also dosing methods , and what I am dosing and how it all works together.
Specs:
80 gallon (non-rimless deep blue reef ready)
Pumps:
1200 sun wave pump
Return:
Mag 9.5
Skimmers:
Reef octo 160 extream with red devil needle wheel
Bubble mag cone skimmer with red devil pump
Dosing pump:
bubble mag dosing pump t-02
Dosing:
alk 195ml a day (starting time 8:00 am) - 8.5 alk
cal 65ml a day (starting time 9:30 am) - 460 cal
mag 70 ml a day (starting time 6:30 am) -1400 mag
All dosing is done with fauna marin balling lite method
Heaters:
2 150 watt heaters set to be one at 79 the other at 80
Top off:
Jbj auto top off hooked up to a rio 1200 pump in a 30 gallon slim rubber maid trash can (food graded)
Lighting:
cree 48 leds 24 white 24 blue 2 red and 1 purple
All ran on dimmable ballests
optics are on the four ends of the light. (8 optics used 2 on white and 2 on blue 90 degree optics)
Six t-5 blubs
4 fiji purple - kz blulbs
2 ati super blue
Light cycle
12 pm lights on blue with 2 fiji and 2 super blue
2pm main day time lights on with 2 fiji purple
7pm day time lights off
11 30pm all lights off (sump light for live rock is on)
Maintance:
Two water changes a week total of 10 gallons
Salt: esv
2 1/2 scoops of salt will bring me in a 5 gallon bucket to 1.024
Additives:
ZEO:
start 3 - carbon dosing two times a day 0.01 ml
Zeo back -carbon dosing two times a week 3 drops each time
Spong Power: food for coral - 3 drops a day when night light cycle is on.
( I do not rely on these products and I emplor weekly water changes of 10% of the water, they do help but nothing is a my coral popped because of this additive)
Corals:
Mainly sps
Lps- hammer, open brain, 2 favias, and a 50 head duncan colony
Softies- gps( green star), kenya tree, random zoas.
Filter Feeders: six clams (different types),yellow and black sponges. pineapple sponges
Problems facing:
The line for the alk comming out of the doser always gets salt creep.
Feeding fish daily
Not getting water on the floor for water change
Finding room for more coral species
Getting more flow in the tank (having the power head point correctly at times)
Ideas and such for the Future:
Life Guard controller
Better system for water changes
Water alarm
Closed loop system.

This is the temp I have had for over 3 years, it works for me ( which I am guessing that is why i have p ext. in the tank because of the bacteria on the rocks and in the water moving around at a fast rate)
