Definitely this too. Or else you will have water splashing everywhere and salt all over everything.Make sure your drain outlets are below the water line. What questions do you have?
These are deff the way to go if you want to reduce noise and fine tune. As mentioned they arent cheap but they are worth every penny. They also arent impossibly hard to turn like the standard home depot ball valves. If it's not too late I would personally change your ball valve on your main drain pipe to a gate valve like these. They are expensive but you can make finer adjustments to them and control your water level in your overflow box. I've never really used ball valves that much so can't speak for all of them but the cheaper ones I've used from Home Depot get stuck after a while and weren't easy to adjust.

I totally agree... imma try these out. They are a little nicer than the regular ball valves and turn very nice. As for adjusting the flow, I've used cheap ball valves before on a 300 gallon setup and it work perfect. Never really had any issues. I'll try it on this tank and see what happens. Yes I will have to add my shorter pieces in so they won't splash and reduce noise.Definitely this too. Or else you will have water splashing everywhere and salt all over everything.
Just trying to seek some advice and see what this T off the full siphon drain will really do. Maybe a better way to do it? Nothing is glued yet just dry fitting to see what I like.Make sure your drain outlets are below the water line. What questions do you have?

I have ran into sooo many setups that have glue gate valves into place and you can never reuse them. Get 1 try with a 80$ fitting. This is a great way to get way more life out of them. And if you wanna change things up.Also I like to use the threaded gate valve vs the slip x slip, and 1 schedule 80 male pipe adapter on each side of the gate valve. This way I can reuse the gate valve if I need to on a different tank. Otherwise the slip gate valve is glued to your pvc. There's ways to get reuse it after its been glued but a pain In my opinion.![]()
I don't know anybody that has had a tee off the main drain. I think it should be one line to the sump. Then you can have your Emergency Drain to the other sock.Just trying to seek some advice and see what this T off the full siphon drain will really do. Maybe a better way to do it?
