Slowly getting my alk up. My goal is 8 but haven’t been aggressive since I am still hand testing. Thanks for the advice

My alk is 6.7 to 7. I run my system on natural sea water level..
I get better coleration..

Good range. If you bringing alk up range is good.

Ph 8.1-8.3 depending on outside air and how hard dogs are panting
Salinity 34.5
PO4 in the .04-.12 range
No3 was 5-7 last checked
Ca was 435 last checked
Mg + 1500 last checked (hw reefer mixes high since I started)
Mainly monitor Alk then PO4 others every two weeks
15% WC every other sunday

Ph usually doesn't drop below 8.12ish but baby pulled my recirculating line from my skimmers collection cup so co2 media couldn't do it's normal job.
calibrated trident finally and didnt realize calcium was low compared to my normal parameters.. and yes I've been busy at work so I have officially been guilted into testing no3 and po4 this weekend lol.... trying to be honest. This is on the 150 we set up in April of 2018.
Love that there is always something to do in this hobby.

Don't judge my mess I was cleaning up and installing my chiller from my 600 gallon because the compressor went out on the other one on the patio so location temporary and not ideal... getting a leak tray for it until my new chiller comes in. ...but yes I even have daily task I have to do. Sump area is for a 150 gal display.

I did try a potassium test a while ago and it was 420 if I remember right.

I do AWC around %1 daily give or take. Might be a bit less. I also have chaetogro auto dose a couple ml a day which really improved macro growth.

I use Jim/Randys hydroxide 2 part with strontium added in. So pH even with air on now is 8.1 min

Also have outside line for skimmer.

My numbers are up and down as tank running less than 3 weeks but starting to stabilize.
Ph much better in this tank- 8,02
Salinity at 1.026 and msg at 1296( thus far)
Temp is a bit high at 80.8 but kicking in A/c unit tomorrow after I pick up central system filter

Phosphates are tricky. You may have them when you think you don’t. But you may also have none. ;Blackeye
