so i managed to get a few toadstool corals like 2 inch long stems and when i glued the bottom " hard " portion of the stem to my rocks the top dead kinda fell over so it looks like the toadstool is leaning off the rocks will they eventually stand up or do i have to remove them and glue them more up the stem standing up?

They are pouting and adjusting right now. If after a bit they do not stand up then you may need to intervene.

Lighting and flow will probably be a major factor in what will make them happy again; I’d say try for ‘medium’ as to each as a starting point, and give it 3-4 days before adjusting further. Best wishes!

This. If the polyps are out it most likely needs more flow. If the polyps aren't coming out it's more likely it needs more light (but could be light + flow).

my toadstool prefers low lighting and flow. Had it attached to a small rock rubble so it was easier to move around tank until I found it's favorite spot, corner front of tank at bottom

Post a pic but they usually take a couple days to adjust to whatever conditions they are in. Leathers are about the most versatile corals when it comes to light and flow. You'll see them in SPS tanks with 300-400par or softie tanks with 50par. They just need time. I had one that sat in full flow at 200+ par for months no problem. If it doesn't like where you put it and won't point up towards the sun in a few days move it.

If you’re able to blow “dust” off of it then I’m fairly certain it’s dead. They do shed once in a while, but that’s entirely different than being hunched over and deteriorating.

Oh I missed that part, sorry. Yes that is true. I lost a good sized neon long polyp toadstool about a week after shipment, I was very hopeful it was just stress and shipping but about 24hrs or so after it was completely flopped over and losing parts of itself if was almost “melted” and gone. Hopefully that was my bad luck and yours is hardier than mine!

I don't really understand how you say you put them on, but mine since I bought it is lying down. I don't know if asleep stressed or dead

It looks like it’s trying, the polyps seem to want to come out. Does it not stand more upright after the lights are on for a while? Is there a powerhead pointed at it?
