@crusso1993 thanks bud. Been meaning to ask what’s the story behind your avatar? It’s quite the cool image

You're welcome.

Well, I was going to make up a long story about my avatar. However, the truth is that I saw it quite a number of years ago and, like you, thought it was pretty special so I adopted it.

Little bit o tank work today cause it’s to hit to be outside! Did a partial WC just 10 gallons and tested.
Temp even with air on tank temp is up to79,4 not a worry saving on heater power
Nitrate this is the big news right around 25 last test was 64! Feeling good
Salinity 1,026
DKH 9.1 dosing needs to be cut back a hair to maintain 9
Calcium still reading 500
Mg is up +70 to 1550 but going to retest later operator error I think

Tank status still gave GHA but it us better. Seeing bits of dead brown algae being blown about tank more often so ya think it’s starting to lose the battle for nutrients to spread and go nuts.
Corals looking ok not as much extension on some zoas probably due to dropping the lights tho so gotta wait and see in another week how they are should adapt fine.
Gorgs are staying cleaner with the dual gyre flow. Polyp extension has been relegated to evening as of late tho ?
Thanks for swinging by as always thoughts ideas questions welcome and spam if your tanks encouraged.
Keep it salty friends and stay cool
Ray

The nitrate reactor may finally be paying off and/or changes to feeding habits are bearing results. Either way good sign Just need a few more months of @NY_Caveman style patience

Expanding well this morning. :)
This is end on from the desk end, there is a lot more the other side! ;)

I have been up most of the night reading your journey with this awesome 75 gallon reef tank. It looks great. I have had aquariums for as long as I can remember, but they have all been freshwater. Until four months ago I bought a 75 gallon tank, stand, light, and two filters both rated for a 75 gallon tank. I was gonna do a reef tank because I had always loved the colors of reef tanks. Unfortunately, or depends on how you look at it because I think it's fortunate because I love them, it has turned into a puffer tank. The livestock in my tank is 3 Green Spotted Puffers, a Dogface Puffer, a Figure 8 Puffer, 2 Clowns, 1 Diamond Goby, and a Scooter Bleeny. So no reef tank for me and this 75 gallon tank. I could turn my 48 gallon bow front brackish water tank into a reef tank, but I have my Freshwater Snowflake Eel in it and I could never get rid of him.

@Coolhack Thanks for stopping in and wading thru the pages. I love the idea of a puffer tank. So many fish I love not reef safe one day will set up a Fowler for a clown trigger puffers and angels. Gonna look for pics of your tank sounds awesome. If ya don’t have a thread feel free to drop a pic or two here :)
