i'm not sure thts the name of it but what it is that i'm dealing with is a very small fiber type algea that seems to start at the base of my acros and montis and grow up them slowly. as it creaps it slowly kilss off coral. it's a slow process so it doesn't kill it off. if i cut the frag above the algea and re glue it it's fine. this stuff also grows on the rocks. all the tangs, crabs and snails seem to eat it. it's making encrusting for these corals diificult. they continue to grow out and up, but really need to encrust a little more for the weight. any ideas are appreciated.

Get some Mexican turbos they will eat it. Do you have a tang? They will nibble on it.
