Yeah, I do an alcohol wipe down on the bed every 4 or 5 prints.
Bambu specifically instucts not to use alcohol on their plates.

Been playing with the new P2S at work, it is pretty awesome. You can even send it prints through the phone app. tons of pre-sliced projects on makerworld make printing almost ridiculous easy. Set-up was painless. it just ran a pre-calibration script that took like 30 minutes, we loaded filament and off it went. You can even watch the camera on your phone from anywhere. I don't know what your budget and printing desires look like, but i can say that the A1 (my brother has one) and P2S have been very painless (especially compared to my ender 3v2).

That said, the PEI plate that it came with did not hold polypropylene quite as well as the bare glass side of my ender plate, even when magigoo'd, but it has been great for everything else. I did see they sell different build plates, but haven't looked too much beyond that.
I've been looking at the site below. They are supposed to make some pretty bad dupa build plates. Not cheap but may be worth it.

Sweet, looks like the CFX plate is the only one the recommend for use with PP, but would still need magigoo'd.
I have most of the stuff i need already printed. some of it warped a touch, but it won't affect function. I will keep those in mind though.

Are you using any aftermarket plates yet or still with the stock one?

I watched a video where they said that textured plates are an issue with PP because it leaves tiny areas that the tape/glue/whatever don't get into which allows it to break free since it likes itself so much more than anything else.

That would align with my experiences. The PEI bed worked fine for about 2 hours, then the raft would slowly work its way out from the middle and once popped off, the whole print would slide around at will. While printing you can watch the print fighting the raft to rip itself off the print bed. When i was printing on tape, the biggest issue was that the print was pulling the tape adhesive off the bed. It was still attached to the tape, but would warp so hard it would delaminate the tape from the print bed. Wild stuff.

Yes, I had bought a couple of Biqu CryoGrip Pro Glacier plates before the printer arrived. The reason I bought two is because I somehow put two in my cart and never noticed. When they arrived I was like, "Hey! What's going on here? They sent me two plates." Looked up the order and gave the ol', "Oh well." to myself. Then my wife asked me why I bought two of them and I gave her my standard answer of, "More is better."

More is better with plates. One can be printing while the other is drying after cleaning and they do get damaged (I ripped the coating off of a Bambu Smooth PEI plate trying to get a PETG print off of it and I scratched a Creality PEI from a z-offset mishap).

Tank developments:
First off, how the flip?! Poletti snapped off at the trunk, no obvious culprit.

And B:
I officially give up, going to dose some fluxRx and be lazy for my bryopsis issue this weekend. The final straw was that it started growing on my dendro skeleton and is irritating it. Nobody messes with dendro!

Good luck with the nuisance algae. And man sorry about the Poletti! all that work to grow a perfect shaped acro. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Maybe some grace that it didn’t snap before the end of the grow out?!?

Silver lining i guess. I'm going to try and super glue it back together, ive had luck doing that befor, but never with such a large piece. How it got there though is still one for "unsolved mysteries"

Haha, good luck with that one!

I do have 2 tangs, but they are only 3.5 inch or so. No obvious injuries on them either. Or my big wrasse.

That came out awesome! I'm have so many uses for it outside of reefing as well. I'm dumb for not buying one yet haha
I just wish I could get my bed level. Granted I have a crappy entry level printer but still. It worked like a dream for 6m then turned into a big expensive paper weight. I am going to try and replace the hot end next since nothing I do with the bed or leveling works. Or I may just save up and get a newer nicer more user friendly one during black friday.
What printer do you have

To think I paid you not one, but two, nice compliments yesterday and one of them was specifically about your sense of adventure. Then you make a comment like this bashing all my good will towards you. Apparently, you're just another user. Use me when it suits you and than destroy me like a couple of Aiptasia. It's ok, though, as life has long-ago prepared me for people like you. I will, once again, have to say, "It's okay, Chris. Scott is just another damaged spirit who got chewed up and spit out. Have some pity and let him be him and use you."
