Hi! I think my Octospawn coral is splitting. I am attaching pictures (as best as I could get). We are still new to this hobby and would love your thoughts.

It looks like it's splitting... do you see two mouths? One for each head?

Congrats if it is :) Nice looking piece!

Thank you! I am thinking that I do see another mouth. It is hard to make it out in the position it is in right now. Lol
Lol... If only corals would pose for us right?!? When I first started out and saw euphyllia exhibiting the splitting behavior I freaked out. Skeleton would show and it would close up for a few hours... posting lots of threads on here asking what was wrong. Lol

If only! I told my husband I wanted to turn it around to get a better picture and he just “looked” at me. Lol. So I did the next best thing- reached out here!

Lol, I'm a reefer that likes to keep his hands out of the tank, sadly I don't pose most of my corals. Then again I go to my LFS and their hands are all over the tank lol. I'm sure it would be fine if you moved it, I normally wait till everything is asleep then do some quick shifting. Can't wait to see your Octo in its full glory ;)

Lol!! I plan on moving him around so I can get a better look and pictures!
