Hey Reefers. I have been drooling over torches for a few weeks now and I am ready to dive in the only problem is a I am scared of it stinging my other coral. I left an area of my tank bare to put it but I am scared its not enough. How much space does a torch need? The area I left is about 6 inches from anything else which I am sure will be fine in the beginning but I want it to a part of my tank for the long haul. Thanks for the help.

You'll just have to keep it trimmed. I got an indo from a guy a few years ago shutting his tank down. It had 17 heads. In those couple years I've sold 30+ heads and the torch currently has 30 heads. If I didn't keep up with trimming heads it would be half my tank. Just keep it cut to the size you want.
