Turtle's Fairy Tale

Good bye Cherry Grove... hope you're still here next week.

How you making out?
All is good here. Maybe 10mph winds. Expecting more as night progresses. Heading to work soon. Chainsaw loaded up in the F250 ready for heck and high water.

Everything is good. Few power outages in the area, transformer blew up and caught fire less than a mile from here, trees down... but no damage or loss of power at the turtle shell.

Good to hear!

Be glad you aren’t on the coast up here, I work for an engineering firm that is contracted by Duke energy and we are currently doing storm damage assessment and we won’t even be able to access flooded areas for days maybe even a week, which means power isn’t coming on anytime soon for those in flooded areas.

My brother's house in New Bern took massive damage from limbs puncturing the house and rain damage.

Ya it’s really bad, the flooding post hurricane is just as bad as the actual hurricane itself. I hope he and his family are ok and safe through all this. I can’t even imagine if Florence hit as a cat 4.

Alk test yesterday was 8.8dKH. I backed dose off to 2ml/day.

Also, I have a rogue crab to catch. My birds nest has been losing flesh altho everything else appears perfectly fine. Caught the little devil eating it last night.
