What Light??

Hi, I’m looking for a light for my reef tank. I’m not really looking into SPS, really only LPS, and softies. My tanks 18inx18in and 14in tall. What would you recommend?

Reefi uno pro 2…. You can grow anything and always add to it if you wanted to upgrade in the future…

I have a glass lid, should I take it off, or will all the good light stuff still get to the coral?

I like screen tops, glass usually needs more cleaning…
I’d remove it, tank might get a lil cooler besides

You can do either if you clean the glass regularly… I use mesh tops myself.

I got a minute so just typing but related to this..
but if in doubt, nothing wrong with a low-mid grade light sans disco hot spots … basically if it’s lower quality but the end result is biologically useful then I advocate cutting risk and experiment … you won’t kill your tank with a lower cost light within reason..
I usually buy quality and don’t advocate for cheap stuff but I got a Nicrew and figured if it last two years then buying 2 light over 4 years is still cheaper than a Kessil …
