Some sort of worm. No idea what kind. Usually these guys are good. Perhaps #reefsquad knows?
I have no idea, the pic and video is super zoomed in, it's small. Can you tell if it's segmented?
Where does something like this come from?Don’t freak out. If I had to guess, I’d guess peanut worm. But that’s just a guess. Whatever it is, most likely it’s helpful.
Things can hitchhike in on live rock, corals, and countless other ways. Diversity is a good thing in a tank. Keep in mind, most things start out really small. So small you can’t see them or you miss them. Peak in your tank at night. Using a red light is key because most things can’t see red. You may see all kinds of things. Especially as your tank progresses.Where does something like this come from?
googled those, maybe? I can't tell. How would this show up in my tank? I have no coral and I haven't added anything new except 2 fish who lived in my QT for 8 months...long story, different forum. Is it a vermitid snail that isn't attached to something?
I started this new tank up almost 2 yrs ago, with dry rock. The only thing I moved over were the fish, 2 clowns who have lived here forever. Last year I added some hermits, 8 months ago I added a Goby...all had been in QT. Then the 2 Tang about a months ago, they're the ones that were in my QT for 8 months.Things can hitchhike in on live rock, corals, and countless other ways. Diversity is a good thing in a tank. This thing is tiny, like an inch worm, maybe a little wider.
Definitely not vermetid. They don’t move like that. She said that b4 you posted the video.
+1May have hitchhiked on a shell. I've seen snails with them on their shell.
