Will sps grow back over dead skeleton ?

I have this no name sps that str on one side of its body, I managed to save the frag, I'm curious if the tissue will grow back over the dead area ?

also keeping any algae off that area will be helpful.

Yep. It'll look strange when they have regular flesh over where a polyp nub used to be. :)
