Is the temperature probe coming from your Inkbird fully submerged in water?

You'll need to back it out. The part where the wire meets the probe cannot be submerged. It will eventually fail. I've had two go out like this before I researched the underlying cause. Per Inkbird you've gotta keep that part out of the water. They make a longer probe you can connect up to the controller which makes it easier. That's what I use now and no problems.

Thank you so much for pointing this out! I had one fail 4 months in about 1 month ago and I thought it just went haywire. Now I know the cause.

At least they fail in the right direction lol. There is a thread on here somewhere about it I think.
