Aggression shift question

The 3 largest fish in my setup are a 6" Hippo Tang, 5" Yellow Tang, and 7" Magnificent Foxface. It had seemed like the Yellow had become the boss for the last few months but over the last week or two it seems to have shifted to the Foxface.
Should I worry that some water quality issue has caused this shift or is it natural for this to change over time?

I would say nothing water chemistry related. Aside from perhaps hormone related...

Social dynamics are pretty fluid and can change for a myriad of reasons. I wouldn't be concerned unless there was an inordinate amount of aggression or fighting.

Thanks guys. The aggression itself doesn't worry me. Just a little rubbing and pushing from time to time.

I just wasn't sure if fish were like dogs where once a dominant dog becomes established they will always be the dominant one unless they get old, sick, or injured.

I won't worry about it.

100% agree. This is somewhat surprising and indicates a sissy yellow or an unusually ornery foxface, however, size aside! :D
