I'm torn between lighting. Now leaning towards T5. Dimmer or not?

Dimmable only have one power cable outlet to control all the feature.
Non dimmable have 2 power outlet to control channel 1 and 2 and additional power supply outlet to control fan speed

Not a fan of dimmable T5s... in my experience it means more frequent replacement of bulbs. And if you listen to some people, quality T5 bulbs are going out of production in the near future (Germany has passed legislation to ban the production).

Not dimmable better, the cons of dimmable are the more expensive price as well as the spare parts, in addition to having to run 100% the tubes before being able to attenuate them.

The production has already been discussed, the regulation or prohibition to stop manufacturing t5 does not apply for specialized use such as for our hobby
Interesting. Have any links to this info?

IMO, the dimming is more of a toy and the standard unit has more features and is more reliable.

Remember this forever.... lighting laws pertain to general lighting. T12s have been outlawed in the US and most other places, but UVL can still make them for speciality purposes like reefing, tanning beds, incubators, etc.
