Hello I have a waterbox 380.8 reef lx (286g) It has a chip in the bottom right corner it shows no sign of a crack, can yall give me your input if the tank will be ok or not it's ¾" glass I know pictures can be hard to visualize what the chip looks like, the chip looks like a sliver, it is the deepest at the bottom and it gradually comes to the front of glass, I would say it's no more than ½" deep but here are a few photos of the glass, thankyou for your input!

To me this looks like it can be saved. I don’t see any cracking going up the glass which is a good thing however I would reinforce this spot just to be safe. I would get a piece of glass cut maybe 4”x4”x1” thick square then put silicone on the bottom and sides of the piece of glass then press it in that corner just for piece of mind.

The blue would be that glass square to silicone in

I think getting the chip somehow glued back in place may be important ?

Gotcha so the 4"x4" would be facing the bottom and the 1" would be facing the display side?

I assume it's not a new tank? Aka, cant contact WB for a replacement?

I have a WB 5ft peninsula tank, with a much worse chip, and it's been solid for almost 2 years. But, my almost 150g tank is a lot small than your beast.

I bought it second hand so no I can't get it replaced lol. Could you share a picture of the chip you have on your tank?

If it were me I would epoxy the piece back in with the strongest one known to man. It wouldn't hurt to install an outside rim all the way around in the process with wood working clamps.
Thanks for the input im gonna try to stay away from any rims unless it's necessary, I like the aesthetics of a rimless tank, also i have a rimmed tank right now and it's a pain cleaning the glass, personal opinion lol

yes, and if you plan on doing sand you wont see much other than the silicon stuck to the glass.
