Ok. First off. I know that mini weenies are NOT large breeds... but if you've ever owned one... they'll tell you that they are HUGE.
But if I'm honest...I was looking to memorialize them in this community. They both got to 17 and 17.5 years old and we just put them down to health issues this past weekend.

Awesome dogs. I would like for one of these to be our small dog choice. Not long ago we went to a local dog friendly bar and moose made a little wiener friend. Was cool as heck because they where identical age but wiener was only the size of moose head haha. He just laid there and let the puppy crawl all on his head. Actually picked it up and did superman with the pup. He was not afraid of moose at all.

Love them big, beautiful fur balls :)

We've got four dogs... Rambo, my old friend, is full Pyrenees. Weighed in about 150, when he was in his prime. Biscuit, our Pyr/Lab mix female, and Max, our 2 year old 3/4 Pyr, 1/4 Anatolian. Max hasn't filled in yet, but I'm guessing he'll top Rambo's max weight one of these days.

Say Hi, Rambo :)

And another of Rambo...

Oh, the other dog isn't a large breed... He's a Shih-tzu. Here's the day we brought him home and introduced him to Rambo and Biscuit :)

Say Hi, Demon!

Oh my word I love them all but biscuit reminds me so much of my girl who I think is a lab and bulldog mix. I once thought great pyr but I’m not sure. Please post more biscuit pictures!! 79E1EC79-68A9-451C-B208-2234F7774B3C.jpeg 508DF81A-A0C0-477B-9F78-ADCFD3E5B8F5.jpeg A6ECC6CE-D51E-4C88-B473-362E274098CB.jpeg 0422FE9C-A836-41D8-9E3C-56DFA102A8E7.jpeg

Anatolian Shepard mix. Rescued him at 8+ months. Giant handful of a dog. VERY protective but a sweetheart at the same time. Not very bright, refuses to learn anything no matter how much time is spent. Hates birds. Loves car rides. Talkative like a no other.

I’ve always been a big dog person. Never really liked little dogs! My two malamutes, only kind I’ll ever have! One of the hardest days of my life when I had to put them down. It’s been about 5 years. I think I’m ready for another, and have tabs on available puppies in my area-but my wife isn’t there yet.

My parents have an Anatolian Shepard and French mastiff mix. Your description is spot on for my parents dog also, scared of everything and has no idea he’s bigger than everything and everyone. totally freaked out about the neighbors rooster that gets out sometimes. The garden hose is his worst enemy and he actually trembles when it’s time for a bath. He’s around 170 lbs and tries to sit in their lap when the rooster gets too close.

Been awhile since I posted in here.
Super busy with the build lately.
Moose is not very happy with the lack of attention as you can see.

He turned 11 months old on 6-13. Easily pushing 130-140 lbs.
Has graduated from soccer balls to basketball's as play choice lol.
20200617_192112.jpg
But still has a couple toy boxes and pretty much empties them daily lol.

He is the most spoiled gigantic toddler puppy on the face of the earth and enjoys nightly chopstick hand feedings that range from filet mignon to pepper ahi tuna to mangos and even kimchee haha.
Love this guy!

Today is Mooses 1 yr Bday and thought I'd share. I'll be honest I grew up in a very strict house and dogs weren't allowed in kitchen or allowed to eat people food.
Moving on to when I met my wife and distinctly remember coming over to her house after work starving and waiting around for dinner to be ready but that happened to be a meal for her pups lol. I was upset to say the least and really couldnt wrap my head around it.
Fast forwarding to now she threw the birthday party but I made him a gigantic burger and we even sang him happy b day
Lol man cant make it up. Anyhow now I'm the softy i guess but I'm ok with it:)
I also blew out the candle haha.
Hes grown out any kind of bed we can buy or make for him now so I'm thinking about picking up a twin size mattress for him as well!
She says I'm going through a mid life crisis or something but I woulda took it a long time ago

Here is our boy. Not huge but when he is on stage he owns it! Tucson is a Welsh Springer Spaniel. The pictures are when he was in Shakespeare In Love. He is also an AKC certified therapy dog and visits patients at the hospital and cancer center. He's a good boy but best behaved when sleeping LOL
