Hi All just wanted to start a thread here- Mainly so I dont have to continue to hi jack @Mastiffsrule thread haha.
Brief history we just had one of our 14 yrs old mixed breed pass away last year. Very sad and my wife took it super bad.
Prior to her passing we had been in discussion about adding a new member to the family. We agreed on one thing she wanted a smaller easier to care for dog and I wanted a big dog and after a couple years debate of getting a new puppy she finally came to me one day and said maybe it is time.
To me that was the green light I needed lol! And I ran out and picked up the biggest dog I could find at the moment hahahaha.
I feel like my wife instantly knew that's exactly what I was going to do lol.
Anyhow since bringing our new baby home my wife has fallen in love with this monster! He doesnt leave her side.
Biggest baby in the world literally afraid of his own shadow. Our joke in the house is it's ok he has mama but i protect him haha.
Super well behaved and socialized there are videos of him floating around youtube with a baby wiener his own age crawling all over his head lol.
Just got his DNA back today he is 37.5% Dogue Bourdeax Mastiff, 37.5% Cane Corso and the rest Bull Mastiff.
Super happy to hear no risk for any issues besides he may need to wear glasses when he gets older lol
He is 9 months old and 117 lbs his last appt!
He gained 1.75lbs/day his first 2 weeks we brought him home lol. Wasn't very small for long haha
Anyhow I could talk about my boy Moose all day long. 20190912_192542.jpg 20190913_130630.jpg 20191003_211527.jpg 20200123_184104.jpg 20200206_223822.jpg 20200215_163621.jpg 20200215_204538.jpg 20200215_205335.jpg 20200229_200740.jpg 20200312_221606.jpg 20200418_114355.jpg

Dude! Total Beast mode man. I had no idea they where so close in age! That is a beautiful dog man. Any idea big yet?

I know, that was so cool when I saw your party going on.

I am actually 2 days off. Just realized today is 13th. She’s born on the 15th. I think her last visit was May to the vet. She weighed 135. She think she weighs 35 the way she sleeps on top of me in bed at night:p

Lol love it man. Theres been a count down to bday all week it's been glorious!
She's going to be alot bigger than our boy for sure man can see it already.
Moose is starting to cut back on the food now I would be more than happy to settle out at 150 lol.
She's probably going to surpass that by far!
Post the bday pix man looking forward to it now!

My English Mastiff Tank who I adapted at the age of 1, people are always shocked when I tell them he was free. His owner was offered a job overseas and I worked at the Vet hospital that Tank came to since he was 10 weeks old. I always made the joke with the owner that if he ever needed a home for Tank I would take him. One day the owner called me and said he had to move overseas and if I really wanted Tank I could have him. He was at the owners house in NC and I was in Florida so a road trip it was. He passed away at the age of 7. He was the greatest dog I have ever had. My wife and I moved into together and she had a mini Schnauzer and minpin both under 15lbs.

Greyhound lover here, this is Skeletor. He'll be 8 in October, weighs 76 lbs, raced for a few years and has since retired. As you can see, he takes his retirement VERY seriously.

What a sweetie and I love the name Skeletor, fits perfect. I want to adopt a greyhound some day...

Love large dogs. I have about 300 pounds worth give or take LOL. A Husky, German Shepherd, and Cane x Corso x Rottweiler mix that looks similar to your Moose.

Sky about 80 pounds. Not a happy camper in this picture with me LOL. Still won me free tickets <3

Bear ranges between 120 and 130. She blew out both her ACLs so we need to try to keep her weight towards 120, but she eats like she wants to be 150 LOL. She was huge as a puppy. Her paw dwarfed a baseball at a few months old.

Today is Mooses 1 yr Bday and thought I'd share. I'll be honest I grew up in a very strict house and dogs weren't allowed in kitchen or allowed to eat people food.
Moving on to when I met my wife and distinctly remember coming over to her house after work starving and waiting around for dinner to be ready but that happened to be a meal for her pups lol. I was upset to say the least and really couldnt wrap my head around it.
Fast forwarding to now she threw the birthday party but I made him a gigantic burger and we even sang him happy b day
Lol man cant make it up. Anyhow now I'm the softy i guess but I'm ok with it:)
I also blew out the candle haha.
Hes grown out any kind of bed we can buy or make for him now so I'm thinking about picking up a twin size mattress for him as well!
She says I'm going through a mid life crisis or something but I woulda took it a long time ago

My Poor Boy :( She made me snip him. Idk what's so bad about leaving the family jewels intact but she's been wanting to remove them since I brought him home.
Very sad day around here. He literally has tears in his eyes!
Wanted to him to grow up and have pups and be a man someday.

Sorry to see it happen. I too am not big on getting dogs fixed. How would you like to be fixed? LOL.
Hope you make it up to him with a nice steak once the wife isn't home LOL

Lol yeah he probably got 6 or 7 treats yesterday. Doing alot better today.
Really didn't see a need for it all. Totally unnecessary.
