Hi Johnny! Welcome to R2R! :cool: I imagine an Alaskan reefer have similar challenges to a Scandinavian one when it comes to reef keeping! Best of luck- and happy reefing!

Welcome Johnny, glad you are here! @Nman runs a beautiful cold water tank with inhabitants he collects off the coast of England. Maybe he will jump in here and you can bounce questions off of him.

Hi I've running a cold water tank at the moment from the UK coast line. I have a good experience keeping fish anemones shrimps snails
Sea weed was the hardest to keep going but a gentle man on this foru

m alled subsea gave me some pointers. Paul B is another great member his knowledge is outstanding. My tank is actually set up outside but you can keep them in your home most people use a chiller to keep temps down my tank outside runs at 57f steady. Also I only use nsw not mixed salt
Its 7 am in UK time I will post more later.

That’s so beautiful!!! Thank you so much! I think the only problem I’m going to have is sourcing fish and everything. I’ve been doing more research and Alaska is very strict in cold water tanks. Which makes sense but a little sad
