Paypal questions....

So I had to issue a refund today for the box fedex lost the other day.... The guy decided since he has only ordered corals from out of state 3 times and 2 times fed ex screwed up he just wanted a refund.... No problem there...1smile1

Now I issued a refund earlier today but
My paypal account had a zero balance... Now i clicked the refund button thingy and went through the whole thing and it confirmed it yada yada yada...
Will it pull the money from my bank account and credit him or do I have to add the funds to my paypal account??? I didn't get a email conformation and the
Other party has not received anything showing I
Did refund it.... So I went back into my paypal and checked it said uncleared so I took a screen shot to show them I did it etc.... Is it saying uncleared because I have no funds in the paypal account??? I have more than enough in my bank account tied to paypal lol....Should I add the funds??? Never done this before lol...

It will pull it from your account you have connected to paypal.

It can sometimes take a few days for the refund to go through. The buyer should understand. If you had the funds in you paypal account, it would be instant. But either way, you've initiated the refund and the buyer can see that.

I have had it take up to 4 days to refund..You can look under pending withdraws with whatever acct is linked to your paypal.

He finally got a email conformation said it would take 3 to 5 days.... That sucks but at least I know it's going through...

its best to have a credit card on file, so no one has to wait for there money, and think that your not trying to get there money back to them. thats your back up souce so they get it instantly.

yeah I always leave enough in there to refund until they get the item for that reason..sometimes it won't pull from my bank account. and to transfer the funds takes 4 business days ..

My credit card is linked... Well my debit card anyways... No credit cards here they would get me in trouble...:( I normally don't withdrawal the funds untill I ship in case someone backs out never thought of this thou a shipping error... Live and learn.... Normally I withdrawal when I send a tracking number...:squigglemouth:
