Looking for stocking suggestions for a 120g with a trigger 34 sump. Will be a mixed reef. Prefer fish with color and personality.
Currently have :
pair of clowns ( ocs or percs)
A royal gramma
6 different snails
Sand sifting star
6 or so hermits

Only thing I know for sure is I want a dragonet but that will be a year plus down the road so I have more than ample time to populate with pods. Mixed Color and some open swimmers would be nice.

So open to suggestions, and in which order would you add? Thank you in advance!

Of course I have room for 1 more fish!

Are you wanting a peaceful tank?

Of some “semi aggressive” fish.

Nothing that would normally kill each other but some attitude is okay. My daughter is demanding tangs, I’m on the fence on that one

Kole tang ?
Literally every one just about between the 4 kids, they want them all. Hippo, Kole, Yellow, purple, powder every color, sailfin, tomini( murdered the spelling but biggest hit).
Realistically could u do 3 with my current stock list and still do more fish?

Lid is a 100% requirement for those right? I want to get a sixline but I don't have a lid for my tank yet.

The correct answer is that a lid is required for all fish. That being said, I only have a small lip on both of my tanks, and so far I have not lost any fish from jumping.

Unfortunately Hippos and salfins require bigger tanks
IMO if you do 3 tangs that’s a heavy bio load and maybe smaller fish

I have 20 fish in a 108 gallon.

Full grown all are 4” or under except for a one spot foxface.

I just sent my only tang, a 3” yellow tang to the sump until I can rehome it.

I’m mad at myself cause I said no tangs in this tank, but I did cause it was beautiful.

Now my tank is full of activity and peace again.

Checkout page 1 of my build thread and you will see my stock list.

Always something going on to watch and lots of room for everyone.

Thank you very much @James M

I gave up a lot to have it. And I am taking my time with it.

I will start adding more corals soon as my ugliness are hopefully done and parameters have been stable for a while now.

Do you have a build thread?

Sadly I have no build Thread. I currently have a 20 gallon but nothing special because I’m finishing up high school. I may start a 60 gallon build thread soon though .
