High tide on beach this morning. I had to time the waves to walk past the bulkhead.

Paul, I love your beautiful morning pictures and look forward to them when you post. I've started walking every morning since I got my knee replaced. Just around my neighborhood, no place fancy like you! Although, I do live about a 15 minute drive from a beach on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. I might have to start going up there. 🤔

Good Morning. Today's beach walk was uneventful. Just another beautiful morning but the sunrise was kind of blah so I didn't film it.

The tide is high so the sand was full of seaweeds.

Plenty of bladderwrack seaweeds but I don't think this will last long in my tank.

Then I found this very cool seaweed but I didn't have anything to put it in so I had to leave it there. I don't know what it is

On my way back from my morning walk a strange thing happened.
As I was nearing my house I saw this very bright light. It was so bright that I couldn't look straight into it.
Alien Light.jpg

I immediately realized that an Alien ship had landed right near my home.
For some reason it landed behind a parked Mack Truck.

I was amazed, aghast and scared at the same time and I knew that at any second I would be beamed aboard that ship and transported to an unknown galaxy where they would do un-heard of eerie, un-earthly experiments on me.

My mind raced and I immediately thanked God that earlier this morning I took a shower and put on clean underwear because my Mother always told me, if I had to go to a hospital or have any medical tests, make sure to have clean underwear on or they will throw you out. 😬

I was in awe and too afraid to turn around and run so I kept walking to the light as if it had some kind of evil power over me.

I got closer and closer until I plainly saw it.

It was a Toyota Land Cruiser, and the sun was glaring off the side windows.

Then I had to go inside and change my underwear again. 😕

What? It is a true story, just like all my stories. 😎

So I went on a fishing boat and my friend who I went with told me his Grand Son's picture is on Facebook with pictures of him. I was also there a few weeks earlier and I wanted to see if my Grand Sons picture was on theere.

I don't go on Facebook and haven't looked at it in years so when I tried to access the stupid thing.

LOL, now I know why I don't go on there. 😀

Isnt that the definition of an accident? How do you keep clean underwear on if you have an accident. I keep a clean pair in the glove box just in case.

Same happened here when I tried to join the book of face to sell some cars, boat, and couple of motorcycles. Hahaha and there is no longer a customer service phone number or active Email address. What is up with that? I guess the mother ship has left the solar system with all the book of face slaves. Soon to be delivered to some cosmic restaurant as the main dish Hahaha!

Last week I bought a laptop from Amazon. It was re-furbished, but not very good. Most of it worked fine but when I typed something the letter "E" was almost always missing unless I hit it very hard so when I typed something I had to insert some other letter to take the place of the "e".

My mail came out something like this:

Hillo, my nami is Paul. I livu on Long Island, Now York. I rally, liku it horp as it is vwry nice.

I havl a nicp fish tank with all sorts of fish in it. Fish like Coppkrband Buttsrfly fish and Angvls.

I sent the thing back today for a replacement, so I hope I get one where all the letters work. 😎

Is it bad that I understood it almost instantly even with the typos? Lol
I immediately thought it was one of those Persian princes telling me I won the lottery in Lithuania...

In a couple of weeks my reef will will have reached 40 years old.
Unfortunately I don't remember when I was 40 but I remember when I set it up. I was a skinny 22 year old just back from Viet Nam.
It is still running very well, still using the same reverse UG filter, same dolomite substrait but none of the fish are original. The oldest one, a fireclown is just over 16, all of the older fish died in an accident that was due to my carelessness.
The tank is mostly LPS, gorgonians, giant mushrooms and a few leathers.
There are only three SPS corals, two of which have been with me for a few years and are growing nicely.
I am not sure is any of the original NSW from the Long Island Sound is still in there or any of the original amphipods but maybe much later generations.
I still can't take a decent picture and the tank is not as blue as these pictures but it is what it is.

I had to go to a store next to a Petco so I walked in. They had one aiptasia eating filefish and it was tiny. I don't have any aiptasia but I do have a larger one of those and I didn't want to leave him there so I bought him. He is about an inch long and very cute but overpriced at $35.00.

I could probably get him from my guy for $15.00 but I don't know if he has any, and I have never seen one this small, so I had to get him.

I acclimated him for 15 minutes, and he is now happily swimming around looking for aiptasia, but he will go hungry unless he waits for some earthworms in a couple of hours.

I will take a picture when I can, but he looks like this larger one that I already have.

Unfortunately, I don't think my new tiny filefish will last the night. He likes to lay against the powerhead and being he is so slow and doesn't swim like Tarzan, he gets stuck there. Also my 6 line is picking on him.

I put rubber bands all over the intake of one of the powerheads but the other one is 10" long and I can't protect him from it so I feel he will get sucked against it 😬

Filefish.jpg

I am going for my very dark morning walk but I wanted to see if my little filefish was stuck to the powerhead.

Using a flashlight I don't see him stuck anywhere so he may be OK.

I will look for the little guy when the lights come on. Now it's time to go to the beach 😎

I don't see him stuck anywhere but I also don't see him anywhere. That doesn't mean anything because I normally can't find half of my fish because of all the caves, passageways and places to hide. 😎

My Filefish was a master of hide and seek. I'd find him hitched to a piece of live rock like a little flag sticking out occasionally. After I'd had him for a couple of weeks he realized I meant food so he'd come running as fast as his little paddles could push him whenever I came up to the tank. I always rewarded him with goodies (BBS was his favorite).
