I have a diamond watchman goby and he has been eating all the algae out of my sandbed, but now the sand is all cleaned up and ive noticed him eating algae off the rocks. Question is, does this mean hes hungry and i need to add additional food ( mysis shrimp etc..) or is he perfectly happy with just the algae from the rocks and the sand bed as it accumulates? Thanks for any info.

he is just developing a taste for other things. yes you can supplement the fish however he is a workhorse. dont get him too happy about frozen food or else he will be spoiled and stop being a worker bee

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
