Nyos 300 Lighting

Hey all

I'm starting a new build around the Nyos OPUS G2 300 (36L x 22W x 21H) and I'm set on going with Radion XR15s. I'm going for an acro dominant system so will 2 XR15s be sufficient or will I need 3? I am planning to use the mounting arms because I'm not a fan of hanging from the ceiling. Would really appreciate some opinions.

I'm using a T5 Hybrid with 2 X30 Blues on mine. I use a XR15 Blue on my IM 15gal and it has to run at 80% to make half decent PAR and that tank is much more shallow. I would look at XR30s and not go with the 15s if your going from top to bottom acros. If you keep the acros at the top I think you could get away with the 15s.

Awesome I'm glad I asked. How do you like the Nyos system? Do you also have a preference between the pros vs the blues?

I really like it and have no issues. I wish the sump was bigger, but I always seems to have that problem. :grinning-squinting-face:

I hear you about the sump. Its a weirdly designed sump. However, im more on the end of low nutrients right now so no need for extra equipment that has to be in sump other than my protein skimmer.

I went with 2 Reefi uno 2.1 and sold my xr15's and I have the opus 440.
