I trying to light my 36x36 tank with 4 radion xr30 g5s. I'm trying to decide on layout to get best coverage and not get a blazing hot spot in the middle. Curious what others have done on a cube tank. Pic for what I'm thinking.

You may find the fans running a lot as they're all pretty close to each other. Will the sides be open?

I have a 36" x 24" frag tank that Im running 2 xr30's. I think you will only need 2 to grow anything you want. I just put the diffusers on mine just to get the blend a bit better. I think 2 is just what you need and thats it. They will blend real nice with no hot spots with or without a diffuser.

Have you looked at BRS testing/recommendations of these lights (height, spacing, spectrum, amount per day)? Very informative.

I had 2 XR30 G4 Pros over my 150 cube. I think your layout is probably as good as you'll get it, but I wish I would have gone wit 4x15's. I think you'll be running at quite low intensity.
